Hi, The blob structure is a generic structure and not heavily used. For images and videos I would opt for managing the references in the database only and keep the multimedia objects in a separate vault (accessible through http server) Introducing a separate type becomes relevant if you also intend to manipulate the values with specialized routines inside the kernel. For example, you load the actual images into a BAT and plan to perform relational operations over the pixels, or proprietary segmentation routines....
