I installed MonetDB5 using monetdb-install.sh. I d/l'ed the script today. The binaries compiled fine but I am unable to connect from a different computer besides the host.
i.e. mserver5 running on serverA, client running on desktopB. desktopB> MapiClient -l sql -h serverA -umonetdb MapiClient never returns. In another window I ran netstat and can see the connection from desktopB to serverA on the correct port (50000).
