I'm guessing it was directed at the population of occupied/Vichy France, to
turn French feeling against the Allies. During the invasion of North Africa,
Allied forces fired on (and presumably killed) Vichy French forces including
naval units.

My theory, anyway.

Can anybody explain this propaganda poster, recently seen in a French museum?
My apologies for the poor quality, but it is obvious the figure looming at the
back is Churchill.
