Dear PAUSE Admins,

I'd like to request co-maintainership of Net::Whois::IP.

Over the past five weeks I have attempted to contact the current
maintainer through multiple channels. During that time I have
developed, tested, and documented a number of fixes and enhancements
to the module arising from real-world use.

My attempts to contact the maintainer were:

    May 6, 2026 - Email to the CPAN-listed address
    May 13, 2026 - Follow-up email
    May 14, 2026 - GitHub issue opened
    May 27, 2026 - CPAN issue opened

I have received no response to any of these communications.

I would prefer to work with the original author and would be happy to
coordinate maintenance should he reappear. However, I would also like
these fixes to become available to the wider Perl community through
CPAN rather than remaining in a private local fork.

Original author's PAUSE ID: BSCHMITZ

My PAUSE ID: JSEYMOUR

To document my efforts to contact the maintainer, I have attached
copies of the emails sent on May 6 and May 13. I have also attached
my proposed Changes file and included below the URLs for the GitHub
and CPAN issue tracker postings made in an effort to reach the
maintainer publicly.
