Well Neil, that's not the best solution for me because the goal was to
not dead-end someone who found our cpan email address on an official
page (i.e, https://metacpan.org/pod/Chart::Graph), but I guess we'll
just hope they get the message when the email gets ignored/rejected.

email. Hopefully option 1 is ok with you?
You offered being able to blank out the email addresses associated with
the CAIDAPERL account, we do want that, but you're saying you can't
remove the c...@caida.org from the AUTHOR section of that page? I've
given up on updating the documentation itself, but i'm talking about the
content on the main listing at
https://metacpan.org/pod/Chart::Graph#CONTACT and
https://metacpan.org/pod/Chart::Graph#AUTHOR

Great. I've just transferred ownership to the special ADOPTME user,
which flags it as being available for adoption.
If you look at this page, you can see how MetaCPAN flags the
adoptability to end users:

The only way to update sections in the documentation is for another
release to be done. Quite often when someone is done with a module,
they do one more release, to update the documentation to say "This is
no longer supported, we suggest you look for other modules /
solutions", etc, and to remove contact details.
You could do one more release like that, but I'm guessing that you
just want done with this, and don't want to do another release. So I
suggest we just leave it in its current state – if people search for
"chart" or "graph", there are plenty of other options which come up
ahead of Chart::Graph.
Cheers,
Neil
