FYI I've been trying to get hold of any of the maintainers of DBM::Deep
for a coupla weeks re this:

which was first raised by someone else a few months back. I tried
emailing SPROUT@cpan a week and a bit ago, and I've just emailed
everyone who has co-maint today, and if I don't hear anything back
within a week or so I'm going to ask you lovely people to give me
co-maint so I can apply that patch and push out a fixed release.
NB that while there is also a Github issues thing, that repo has not
been updated for several years so is out of date compared to the code on
the CPAN, and the PR that would both bring it up to date and fix this
bug has been open and untouched for months. Accordingly I see no point
raising a bug ticket there!
