I found the option in the PAUSE account settings. It might work in

That is the safe path, yes. Do you only put that version number into
releases or do you check the updated files into revision control, too,
even if nothing changed but the version number?

And the pressing question for me right now: Should I make a fresh
release with updated verisons in all files right now or can I safely
ignore the PAUSE indexer error report? I didn't notice an issue yet,
besides the complaint from the indexer.
