Hi Paweł & Stefan,

I’m one of the PAUSE admins. I’m working on resolving conflicts caused by PAUSE
now considering package names case insensitively. This has left us with some
situations where two or more people are owners of namespaces previously
considered distinct, and now considered the same.

Paweł has ownership of the DEBUG namespace and Stefan has co-maint. You have a
package of that name in your STD distribution, last released in 2010. This now
conflicts with the “Debug” and “debug” namespaces, which are owned by other
people.

If you want to keep your STD distribution on CPAN, the best solution would be
to rename this to STD::DEBUG. Then we could drop your permissions on the DEBUG
namespace. Or if the STD distribution is no longer relevant, we could just
delete it from CPAN, and drop all associated permissions.

Can you let us know which way you’d like to progress please?

PAUSE doesn’t let situations like this occur any more — so I’m resolving the
existing cases.

Cheers,
Neil
