Have you tried getting in touch with the author, James Aitken (JAITKEN), to ask
if you can help?
If you don’t get a reply from James, the process for adopting a module is

In summary: If you don’t hear from James for a month, and you’ve made
appropriate efforts to contact him, and can make a good argument for taking it
on (as other CPAN distributions rely on it), then we’ll give you co-maint.
