Hello,
I am writing about the module Test::RedisServer. I am participating in
the CPAN PR Challenge hosted by Neil Bowers and my assignment for May is
Test::RedisServer. In the challenge we are charged with contacting the
maintainer, introducing ourselves and what we are planning on doing with
the module as well as asking the maintainer if there is anything they
would like us to work on before submitting our PR. We then work on
fixing bugs, updating documentation, fixing grammar and spelling, adding
features, etc... then submitting a PR to be included in the module.
I had sent an email to the current maintainer, Typester
(types...@gmail.com) - Daisuke Murase, at the beginning of May and
another email a week ago, and have not received a reply from either email.
I also noticed there was already an open PR on this module that was
about 2 years old, submitted by Songmu (y.son...@gmail.com) - Masayuki
Matsuki. In the comments of that PR, Typester asked Songmu if he would
like to be co-maintainer of the module. Songmu accepted but it doesn't
appear that Typester completed it. So I have also emailed Songmu asking
if he had been granted co-maintainer, or if he knew how to contact
Typester and I have not gotten a reply from him either.
So, I am officially asking to be granted co-maintainer/maintainer of the
Test::RedisServer module.
I am not sure of this process, or what else needs to be done. Please let
me know what else needs to be accomplished. Thank you.
