I have tried to upload a tar.gz file with only a script in it. No mention of any package. Yet it was not indexed. I am creating this in order to test some feature of the search.cpan.org clone I have been working on for a while. There was a distribution called apid that I used to test agains, but it has just been removed from CPAN http://backpan.perl.org/authors/id/T/TL/TLINDEN/apid-0.04.tar.gz How was that indexed? Why isn't mine indexed? How should I tweak it to get indexed? BTW I tried to remove the dashes from the distribution name but that was also rejected: User: SZABGAB (Gabor Szabo) Distribution file: CPANTestDummySCOMissing-0.36.tar.gz Number of files: 7 *.pm files: 0 README: CPANTestDummySCOMissing-0.36/README META-File: CPANTestDummySCOMissing-0.36/META.json META-Parser: Parse::CPAN::Meta 1.4404 META-driven index: no Timestamp of file: Tue Oct 28 10:00:20 2014 UTC Time of this run: Tue Oct 28 10:01:49 2014 UTC This distribution name can only be used by users with permission for the package CPANTestDummySCOMissing, which you do not have.
