Hello,
I have carefully read the guidelines on choosing the module name
and I can confirm that there is a compelling reason on using API in
the moduleâs name: Geneos::API
The module is a Perl implementation of the ITRS Geneos XML-RPC
Instrumentation API. In other words itâs a Perl API to another
API.
Geneos is a monitoring platform and Iâm planning to introduce
more modules for it. For example, a module that allows manage
monitoring configurations and I might suggest a name Geneos::Config
for it.
I have already uploaded the module to CPAN and I believe it will be
very useful to a large community of people. Iâm working on a
comprehensive test suite for the module.
I hope this makes sense.
