The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: Test::Mock::Simple DSLIP: bdpOp description: Simple way to mock all or parts of a module userid: TANK (Erik Tank) chapterid: 3 (Development_Support) communities:
similar: Test::MockObject rationale: Test::Mock::Simple is a bare bones (contains no helpers) way to mock an object by only replacing a name space's method that you specify. There are several Mocking object, however, they all have a specific purpose or attempt to help you out; thereby getting in the way (at least for my needs at the moment). Simple is a word which we wish to avoid, however, since this does nothing else but over ride methods the only logical alternative is Test::Mock. However, I do not think it appropriate to claim that name. enteredby: TANK (Erik Tank) enteredon: Wed Oct 9 17:59:39 2013 UTC The resulting entry would be: Test::Mock:: ::Simple bdpOp Simple way to mock all or parts of a module TANK Thanks for registering, -- The PAUSE PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=d8d00000_1d52427b32b3a434&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=d8d00000_1d52427b32b3a434&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1 Peek at the current permissions: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?pause99_peek_perms_by=me&pause99_peek_perms_query=Test%3A%3AMock%3A%3ASimple
