The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:
modid: Win32::Unicode::Shortcut
DSLIP: adhOp
description: Windows Unicode Shortcut Interface
userid: JDDPAUSE (Jean-Damien Durand)
chapterid: 22 (Microsoft_Windows_Modules)
communities:
similar:
Win32::Shortcut
rationale:
Having the need of IShellLinkW access in perl, I got the feeling
that forking Win32::Shortcut to its Unicode version might be good
for all Win32 users.
I took the opportunity to remove the BOOT inside Win32::Shortcut's
XS in order to leave the application the choice to call
CoInitialize(Ex)/CoUninitialize explicitely via
Win32::Unicode::Shortcut or not: this is an application choice; and
IMHO should not be hardcoded+embedded into a COM interface. This is
the only (but main) difference between Win32::Shortcut and this
module.
