The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: WWW::Hackernews::Parser DSLIP: adpfp description: Extract data from Hackernews on Ycombinator userid: DBB (Daniel Bolton) chapterid: 15 (World_Wide_Web_HTML_HTTP_CGI) communities: https://github.com/dbb/Hackernews-Parser
similar: rationale: I followed the example from domain-specific modules (like WWW:Wikipedia and WWW::Twitpic) in choosing the namespace. There is only one Hackernews module now (Parser) but I plan to add more in the future, so I think WWW:Hackernews is warranted, as opposed to WWW:HackernewsX, where X is the name of a given module. This module could be used by web applications and local scripts to collect data from news.ycombinator.com (Hackernews). There are similar modules in Python and Ruby, but I could not find one in Perl, so I created one. enteredby: DBB (Daniel Bolton) enteredon: Tue Oct 11 02:19:44 2011 GMT The resulting entry would be: WWW::Hackernews:: ::Parser adpfp Extract data from Hackernews on Ycombinator DBB Thanks for registering, -- The PAUSE PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=4c600000_e88df3bb224a82e1&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=4c600000_e88df3bb224a82e1&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1 Peek at the current permissions: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?pause99_peek_perms_by=me&pause99_peek_perms_query=WWW%3A%3AHackernews%3A%3AParser
