Matt, My company cPanel is about to switch off of GDBM_File to CDB_File as our back end for localization databases on cpanel servers. We're very happy about this as it gets rid of dependencies on the system GDBM library. Unfortunately the next release of our product is the last that will have to support such illustrious Distros as RHEL 2. Right now CDB_file won't compile there because of an incompatibility with GCC 2.95 (RT #37589)
