The distinction between String::CRC* and this module is, the other
modules do not calculate a checksum identically to the cksum
program.
This module allows programmers to calculate checksums on the fly
which can be verified at the receiving end using just the cksum
program; alternatively, programmers can use this module to verify
checksums which have been supplied from the cksum program.
