Device::SerialPort
rationale:
I chose to go under the Device namespace since this module
facilitates communcation with a specfic external hardware device
(Davis weather stations) connected via a serial port. The existing
Device::SerialPort module contains some similar functionality, but
differs in some low-level details necessary for reliable
commincation with these particular devices. While it likely that you
can achieve proper communication with the SerialPort module, this
module provides a much more straightforward approach, and is
therefore much less complex.
