rationale:
DBIx::SQLCrosstab creates server-side multi-level cross tabulation
reports. Given some parameters, it creates the appropriate query to
get the crosstab, fetches the records and returns the raw recordset.
Unlike spreadsheet pivot tables, all the calculation is done on the
server side, and in addition the query is not limited to one table
only. Moreover DBIx::SQLCrosstab handles multi-operation crosstabs
(data results with COUNT, SUM, AVG, and so on are calculated
side-by-side)
A child module (DBIx::SQLCrosstab::Format) handles the output to
HTML, XML, YAML, CVS, xls or Perl structure.
Version 1.15 of the module is already on CPAN, following my
previous request, which determined the name choice and some useful
advice.
