I have written modules for the reading, writing, and manipulation of phylogenetic trees, of use to computational and evolutionary biologists. The modules inherit Graph, Graph::Reader, and Graph::Writer. They are stand-alone, and as yet are not bioperl. I suggest the following names for the modules: CompBio::Tree, CompBio::Tree::Reader and CompBio::Tree::Writer.
