The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:
  modid:       Math::LFSR
  DSLIP:       adpOp
  description: Linear feedback shift register
  userid:      TOMA (Tom Anderson)
  chapterid:    6 (Data_Type_Utilities)

  similar:
    Crypt::PSRG

  rationale:

    Linear feedback shift registers are widely used in many domains.
    The most commonly known application is in generation of
    pseudo-random numbers and cryptography. The Crypt::PSRG module
    implements a special case LFSR for a cryptographic application.

    This module is a general purpose LFSR with many possible
    applications in communication, error detection, hardware testing,
    simulation, and the generation of pseudo-random numbers. Its
    object-oriented interface enables the generation of a wide variety
    of different LFSRs with many different useful properties. The module
    test routines demonstrate some of these properties.

    A library of polynomials that generate maximal-length LFSRs of
    different orders is included.
