The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Apache::AuthenNetLDAP
  DSLIP:       adpOp
  description: Authenticate and Authorize using Net::LDAP
  userid:      RCORVALAN (Rafael Corvalan)
  chapterid:   15 (World_Wide_Web_HTML_HTTP_CGI)
  communities:

  similar:
    Apache::AuthLDAP Apache::AuthPerLDAP

  rationale:

    Namespace choice: It's an LDAP based authentication module for
    Apache. Since it's based on Net::LDAP, it'as called AuthenNetLDAP.

    Some other modules are similar, in terms on functionnality:

    Apache::AuthLDAP Apache::AuthPerLDAP

    Both are dependant on an SDK that is C code, so it's not 100% perl.

    My module is based on Net::LDAP instead, which reimplements the
    LDAP protocol. Net::LDAP is not based on any C SDK, so my module
    isn't also.

    Finally, my module uses an elegant URL approach (for authentication
    AND autorization) to designate the search filter and parameters to
    locate the DN of the entry we will bind to.

  enteredby:   RCORVALAN (Rafael Corvalan)

The resulting entry would be:

Apache::
::AuthenNetLDAP adpOp Authenticate and Authorize using Net::LDAP RCORVALAN
