Is there any particular reason that the Thread Manager is not available 
under MacPerl? It provides for preemptive threads, so MacPerl could 
potentially be the first Perl to support any type of reliable threading- 
not to mention asynchronous I/O as described in the Thread Manager docs. 
I'd love to be able to take advantage of this. Please let me know if there 
is something I'm missing or if I'm mistaken. Thanks.
