The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Date::Gregorian
  DSLIP:       bdpOp
  description: Gregorian calendar
  userid:      MHASCH (Martin Hasch)
  chapterid:    6 (Data_Type_Utilities)
  communities:
    comp.lang.perl.modules

  similar:
    Date::Calc

  rationale:

    Date::Gregorian performs date calculations, similar to Date::Calc
    by Steffen Beyer. However, it has a pure object-oriented interface
    --defining an object class representing days in history plus methods
    to change or convert them--, it is coded in pure Perl for
    portability, and it can merge the Gregorian calendar with its
    predecessor, the Julian calendar, in a way that makes sense for
    historians and/or astronomers. It comes with a companion Class
    Date::Gregorian::Exact, an extension towards higher granularity,
    equipped to handle timestamp stuff and such. Another set of modules
    intended for this namespace will add holiday attributes and perform
    calculations for liturgical calendars

The resulting entry would be:

Date::
::Gregorian       bdpOp Gregorian calendar                           MHASCH
