The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Parse::ABNF
  DSLIP:       cmpOp
  description: Augmented Backus-Naur Form (RFC 2234)
  userid:      MATTHEWG (Matthew Sachs)
  chapterid:   11 (String_Lang_Text_Proc)
  communities:

  similar:

  rationale:

    ABNF is a grammar that is often used in Internet standards
    documents (RFCs) to describe a protocol. By using this specification
    directly, it is easier to make correct and compliant implementations
    - or at least you can blame me instead of yourself when your
    implementation isn't compliant! Also, the object has methods to
    translate an ABNF rule into an English description of the rule. This
    is nice for things like specifying command-line or configuration
    file syntax, because one can easily generate online help or even let
    the user modify the syntax.
