The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: Net::CIDR DSLIP: Rdpfp description: Manipulate netblock lists in CIDR notation userid: MRSAM (Sam Varshavchik) chapterid: 5 (Networking_Devices_IPC) communities: Module was developed for use in the Courier mail server, which has a supporting mailing list, [EMAIL PROTECTED] similar: rationale: The module manipilates lists of IPv4 or IPv6 netblocks expressed in CIDR notation (netmask/prefix). The CIDR notation is the preferred notation used in routing/internetworking software; but does not easily lend itself to parsing by human beings. Even oldbies have occasional difficulties in converting a starting/ending IP address range to CIDR notation. Net::CIDR converts lists of IP netblocks between "start-end" and "netmask/prefix" notations, merging adjacent netblocks automatically. enteredby: MRSAM (Sam Varshavchik) enteredon: Tue Jul 10 12:22:20 2001 GMT The resulting entry would be: Net:: ::CIDR Rdpfp Manipulate netblock lists in CIDR notation MRSAM Thanks for registering, The Pause Team PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=22000000_cdc85464397e7159&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=22000000_cdc85464397e7159&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1
