In an earlier mail[1] I requested a CPAN ID and the namespace Net::Ping::External. I assumed that the acceptance of my CPAN ID implied acceptance of the namespace as well, and hence uploaded my module to CPAN. However, it's not been registered yet, so I thought I'd just repost its DSLI entry here and await further feedback.
