Oh good! I didn't really want to have to take over the
win32-compatibility testing on devser. I've never even installed win32
perl. :)

Bill: how about setting up a sourceforge project for devser? That way we
can keep things current with CVS, etc.
Do your changes for FreeBSD clash with what I did for Solaris, Aix, and
OpenBSD?
And, I wasn't sure what to do with the documentation, since you wrote
almost all of it. I've just added a few notes here and there.
