Sorry I didn't try the Usenet group first, but NASA restricts access to Usenet groups and I cannot access it. Anyway, we downloaded Sybase 11.9.2 ASE and installed it on a PII 266 running RedHat Linux 6.2. After installation, we started the dataserver and set the $SYBASE variable to /opt/sybase-11.9.2. Next, we went to download DBD::Sybase from CPAN. The following is the output from the installation: [root@ranier ~]# perl -MCPAN -e shell Warning [/etc/inputrc line 1]: Invalid value `on' for variable `meta-flag'. Choose from [On Off]. Warning [/etc/inputrc line 2]: Invalid value `on' for variable `input-meta'. Choose from [On Off]. Warning [/etc/inputrc line 3]: Invalid value `off' for variable `convert-meta'. I really do not have the expertise to diagnose this problem. I was wondering if anyone here would have an idea about what is wrong and how to remedy the situation.
