Solaris Studio only requires payment if you want support and patches. It is priced per developer not per machine. Free to download. It is optimized for multicpu environment. On SPARC at least it does support autoparallelization (loop unrolling an dispatch to threads on diFferent cpus, for example) as well as MPI on x86 and SPARC.
If you run linux on RHEL-P7 you use whatever piece of junk IBM gives you or you use x86 emulation. Dana Hudes
