Hi Andreas Not my field of expertise, but this sounds like a kernel problem, or a problem of some other process running on the machine, maybe Postgres? I had exactly the same scenario once many years ago, using RedHat 6, and then it was a kernel problem. but as you say, you've tried 2 distinctly different kernels without any issues... so i would look at other processes for problems. good luck Clint
