hi all :) registration for ApacheCon US 2006 (October 9-13 in Austin, Texas) is now open.
for those not familiar with ApacheCon, it's the annual US conference for all things Apache - from httpd and mod_perl to spamassassin and other popular Apache Software Foundation projects. you can find the details here: http://www.us.apachecon.com/ I've been told that early bird rates ($500 savings) are only good through the end of this week, so if you have an interest in the conference now is probably the time to register if you want to save some money. you can see the full list of sessions here http://www.us.apachecon.com/html/schedule.html but sessions and tutorials of interest to mod_perl-minded folks might be o Scalable Internet Architectures o Testing with Apache::Test o mod_perl for Speed Freaks! o mod_perl-2.0: Advanced Profiling & Instrumenting Techniques o Output Filters with mod_perl 2.0 o Low-Maintenance Perl o Hacking the Apache HTTP Server at Yahoo! o Apache Performance Tuning Part 1: Scaling Up o Apache Performance Tuning Part 2: Scaling Out outside of those, there are a number of more generic httpd talks as well as quite a few on PHP (for those of us who are multi-lingual :) in general I think it's a good year for mod_perl and perl at ApacheCon, so I hope to see you there. --Geoff
