Can you not remove yourself?

i know i'm one of the few people who keep their subscription messages, but its not that hard to figure out where the mail is coming from

I went to perl.apache.org, as thats what the FROM address on messages are

I clicked on 'maillist subscritpion'

i see:

        unsubscribe from the list
        mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

The listinfo goes into more detail:
To Get Off The List

Instructions on how to unsubscribe are posted in the headers of every message which you receive from the List. All you have to do is send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or modperl-digest- [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are on the digest list)

To prevent malicious individuals from unsubscribing other people, the mailing list software insists that the message requesting that an email address be unsubscribed comes from that same address. If your email address has changed you can still unsubscribe, but you will need to read the help document, which can be recieved by sending an empty email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I also looked at the headers of the messages i get, and I saw this:
        List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

So that all seems current and operational.

Most mailing lists work like that - so you should try looking at headers or the domain the messages come from if you ever have issues with subscriptions.
