hi list, i'd like to know if it is okay to use debian sarge's apache-perl package for a production environment or if i'd be better of rebuilding everything including perl (as debian's perl comes with ithreads support)? I've read that a perl interpreter with ithreads enabled is about 10-15% slower than without threads support - even when not using threads in your applications at all. is this still true?
