Hi, The romanian character set (ISO-8859-16) is very seldom used, because it was not implemented on very many applications, but ISO-8859-2 is much often used even some characters are not showing exactly as they should look in romanian.
The problem is that the browsers see the HTTP header, and use it and they don't use the <meta> tags defined in the web pages if there is an HTTP header defined for the same thing. So you will need to print the Content-Type HTTP header in your applications to be: Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2 Then the special characters will show correctly if they are correctly defined.
