Unfortunately, that one is years out of date now. Upgrading will very likely fix your problem, and upgrading apache will fix some security holes discovered since Red Hat 9 came out. Hopefully, with the 2.0 release right around the corner, new distributions will soon be carrying a reliable and well-tested version of mod_perl.
