IMHO, it'd be silly to upload a new version for this purpose. Users will try to get the new version which has no functional or even documentation change. We know that your module is ported to 2.0, so you can just leave it as is.
As suggested in the other followup it's the META.yml that will need to be updated, not Changes. But there is a lot of dust around it at the moment and we need to wait for it to settle down.
