Folks, Jamie Nicol has added a new tiling backend on Android which, among other things, should allow for jank-free panning/zooming. It's prefed off right now in Nightly, but it would be great if people could turn it on and let us know how well it's working for you. The pref to flip is gfx.use-surfacetexture-textures. I think we'll probably try to turn it on in Nightly 59 if things go well.
I see one crash now and then (which is really an assert), but otherwise I feel like it's a big improvement. Thanks, James
