I just pushed to fx-team; it should make it to central shortly. You may need to rebase or manually move some changes across. I expect this to inconvenience principally the platform mobile engineering team under snorp. I will look to uplift this to Aurora (and possibly Beta) to ease uplifts, although those should be few this cycle. Some context: Myk Melez is pulling together a platform embedding strategy; part of that revolves around separating "GeckoView" from Fennec. Roughly speaking, GeckoView is a WebView-alike Android custom view exposing the Gecko rendering technology to third-party consumers. It's been an idea in the wind for a long, long time [2] that is getting some targeted investment right now. This source re-organization is in support of this work. The tracking bug for the initial investment is at [3]. I'll let Myk handle further communication around this, if he wants to do so.
