I'm not sure if lavrec will work with zoran devices and the current OSS Emulation. It seems that some people still use parts of it. I did not include the patch from Martin van Gagern to use the v4l1 compatible access (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3306829&group_id=5776&atid=305776) So with a current kernel (3.0.x Series and late 2.6.x) recording can't work without some patches on your own. And I don't really know ho to go on with the old PCI Cards. On think I noticed with my current OpenSuse is that the oss emulation kernel module isn't loaded by default any more so lavplay does not produce any sound.
