No, I guess, no one has done that. BTW yadif isn't that particularly
good. It (only) is however usefull in combination with mcdeint. Ohter
than that it is fast, yes...

And AFAIR we already have a rather decent
motion-compensating-deinterlacer ...
(it was called yuvdeinterlace long before...)

PS: as I do not have the time to further maintain yuvdeinterlace ...
Maybe this is something you could be interested into,... if not someone
