Hello all, I am new to the list, just starting to use mjpegtools. I came to mjpegtools mostly because I have a shaky hand, and mjpegtools seem to be the only way to do image stabilization under Linux...
I have been studying the howtos and faqs, but have a few remaining questions. The tools are prefixed by lav..., yuv... and y4m.... I have guessed that lav... are the things that have to do with MPEG. Is this right? What is the difference between the yuv... and y4m... tools? Are there two different formats (MJPEG compressed / uncompressed YUV) ? I see that y4m is uncompressed, so where is the MJPEG?
