Hi, here I am back again with the same old story (someone should remember the "zig-zag pattern" thread some months ago...)
I had no time to make new attempts to capture with my DC30+, but now I have a little, so I wish to try again. Yet, I know the problem is still there, so I'm looking over the internet for a solution. I ran across this page: http://www.linuxtv.org/v4lwiki/index.php/Color_problem_patch which has nothing to deal with Zoran based cards (it is related to cx2388x cards, and cx2388x chips are the successors of bt8xx chips). But that page shows two PNGs, and the first one shows exactly the same problem I have in my recordings! Just compare the "bad" PNG with the one posted by Bernhard Praeshinger on March 5 2008, and you probably will agree with me... The solution proposed on the cited page obviously only works for cx2388x based cards: one should make a little change on some cx88-core.c file ("HLNotchFilter135PAL to HLNotchFilter4xFsc on line 752") and recompile the module. Now I wonder if something like that could be done for some of the zr??? modules. But no reference to "notch" or such are present in any Zoran related files... Has someone any ideas or suggestions?
