Hallo > I've using my DC30+ very intensively for a long time, until yesterday: > in fact, today it's not working any longer. Just the normal question: You have a valid signal. The input of the card is correct. Yo uhave tried the card in another computer. And you have tried a different card in the same computer ?

Tried to measure the input signal with a scope ? Have you tried unloading the driver and loading every module manually ? > DC30plus[0]: zoran_open(v4l-conf, pid=[3393]), users(-)=0 > DC30plus[0]: zoran_close(v4l-conf, pid=[3393]), users(+)=1 > DC30plus[0]: zoran_open(xawtv, pid=[3392]), users(-)=0 > DC30plus[0]: UNKNOWN ioctl cmd: 0x80585600 > DC30plus[0]: zoran_close(xawtv, pid=[3392]), users(+)=1 > DC30plus[0]: zoran_open(xawtv, pid=[3392]), users(-)=0 > DC30plus[0]: UNKNOWN ioctl cmd: 0xc0cc5615 [...] > DC30plus[0]: VIDIOC_S_FMT - unknown/unsupported format 0x0 ( ) > (the last message repeated several times...) I get the last line in combination with: DC30plus[0]: VIDIOC_S_FMT - type=1, size=384x288, fmt=0x0 ( ) But only when I use xawtv. The log you have attached seems to be the output when you try to run xawtv. and not when you load the driver. The log when loading the driver should start with that: MJPEG[0]: find_zr36057() - card DC30plus detected DC30plus[0]: Initializing i2c bus... .. DC30plus[0]: i2c_client_register() - driver id = 1005 ... Detecting guests activity, please wait... Guests: 0x10 0x21 0x10 0xb2 0x10 0x10 0x11 ... I rebooted several times, > but nothing changes. When you look at the card it looks ok, no burnt IC ? Damaged connector or so ? I had a sound card where the line out broke after some years, soldering it together helped here. > What's happening? I swear I made no changes in the system, nor in the > scripts I'm used to use to capture. I cannot capture from videocamera, > nor from satellite receiver. I did it yesterday night for the last time. Strange. > Any help will be very much appreciated, I'm a bit desperate! I have a spare DC30 in my MAC, I use from time to time. And I have in my PC/Linux box a Buz and a DC30. That is my "backup" plan. If one card fails that should not cause that much trouble, and makes testing easier. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
