Hi, my last post was clearly posted here by mistake: I thought I was sending it to the debian-user list, because I asked for help there too about my problems recording with ICH5.
Sorry for that. Anyway, since the card works perfectly with every recording tool except lavrec, and since I still have an older but good card which work perfectly with lavrec too, I'm going to use the latter, just disabling the on-board card. After all, this way I can do everything I need with sound, so why bother with ICH5? Many thanks to everyone that tried to gave me help!
