I don't know if you're including my comments in this "bunch of statements", but if you were I just wish to point out that I was referring to effects I had found *and* objectively documented clearly in the past (with pictures, full command lines, example input, the lot). All this was brought to your attention at the time. The threads, as pointed out in an earlier email, can all be read in the archives. My initial comment was simply to point out that the libdv codec (which is the DV codec in hvirtual cinelerra) has quality issues when encoding On this I think we all agree. For the purposes of this comment there didn't seem to be any worth in reiterating all that historical information. Besides, none of it may be relevant anymore given the time which has elapsed since those tests were done. BTW I don't know off-hand whether cinelerra-dv use libdv of ffmpeg for DV encoding by default. I know they support ffmpeg though while hvirtual doesn't AFAIK.
