Thanks for answering. Went to the site and downloaded your scripts. Have a 
procedural question though. What vob files are you referring to? The original 
one, before ripping?, or the new ones generated by dvdauthor after mplex-ing 
them together?

I will give it a try and report success or failure. Seems to be a lot of 
unknown variables and I certainly don't have the expertise you do.
