Hi,

I'm new to this list and MJPEG-Tools so please be kind to me if this question
allready has been asked a 1000 times.

I'm trying to make a backup-copy of on of my DVD's using dvdshrink and/or
dvd9to5. Both programs are using the mplex program to remultiplex the
(resized-)Video and Audio streams and mplex returns the same errormessage
with both programs:
"Need to split output but there appears to be no %d in the filename
pattern /var/tmp/video.mpg"

Here's the command that both programs use:
"mplex -f 8 -o /var/tmp/video.mpg /var/tmp/video.m2v /var/tmp/audio.ac3"

And here is a list of /var/tmp/:
-rw-r--r-- 1 dan users 252637184 Apr 13 10:27 audio.ac3
-rw-r--r-- 1 dan users 4252723675 Apr 13 10:45 video.m2v
-rw-r--r-- 1 dan users 3091064832 Apr 13 10:53 video.mpg

As I understand it there should be no need to split the output, and there are
enough space free on /var/tmp (~8GB)

The version of MJPEG-Tools that I'm running is:
$ mplex
mjpegtools mplex-2 version 1.8.0 (2.2.4)

Any suggestion on how to make this work?

Regards,
