I have tried the Marillat packages on my AMD64 system. mpeg2enc is slower than molasses; slower than my 32bit P4. On the other hand, ffmpeg is more than twice as fast.
Also, given the same input file, mp2enc produced different output on the two architectures. Is this normal?
