HI!
The Windows program "TMPGEnc DVD Author" in its newest version (older version did not warn) complains about GOP size too long for MPEGs that I encoded with mjpegtools 1.6.2.
According to the mjpegtools manual, the default GOP size should be OK for PAL and NTSC and I do not alter it with my command line parameters AFAIK.
Is this a bug in mpeg2enc or is that Windows program complaining wrong?
This is my commandline:
... | mpeg2enc -v 0 -I 0 -f 8 -b 9000 -n n -a 2 -o "$1.m2v" -q 4 -K hi-res -D 10 -4 2 -2 1 -R 2
